Wind Ensemble
Marching Unit - Poly High's official Marching Unit, The Long Beach Poly Marching Unit, which performs at football games, marches in parades, and participates in various field-show competitions. (The entire 2002-2003 schedule of events for the Marching Unit can be viewed on their page.)
Concert Band - the Marching Unit becomes an indoor concert-band during the second semester of the school year.
Symphonic Winds - a winds-only ensemble that braves before-school hours to practice for their award-winning performances.

Jazz
Jazz "C" - an Introductory Jazz band which familiarizes Poly's youngest musicians with the basics of jazz and soloing.
Jazz "B" - currently Poly has two intermediate-level jazz bands, the Period 6 and Period 7 Jazz "B" bands.
Jazz "A" - Poly's finest jazz musicians, who continue to amaze the public with their CD recordings, live performances, and high achievements at regional jazz festivals.
